What We Do

CCME provides education, leadership and services in review and quality care improvement and programs management for health care providers in the Carolinas. We also conduct research to measure, monitor, and improve health care and provide education services for health professionals and physicians to earn required credit hours.

Alliance Members

Members of The Alliance for Medical Excellence (Alliance) meet quarterly to develop initiatives on a broad range of health care-related topics. Under the leadership of CCME Board members, Thelma Cumbo Lennon, EdM, in North Carolina, and Bill Smith, PE, in South Carolina, Alliance members work to empower health care consumers in the Carolinas to ask for better quality care and to become active partners in their own care.
