CCME DELIVERS: Health Care Quality Improvement Services
Thanks to the strong partnerships we have forged with health care providers in both states, we have helped nearly 2 million Medicare and 1.8 million Medicaid consumers throughout the Carolinas. We collect and generate data to help you understand the trends for health care quality improvement. We help you make the care you provide better.

Corporate Overview

The Carolinas Center for Medical Excellence (CCME) has worked to improve the quality of care provided to citizens throughout the Carolinas since 1983. Our work is oriented around four major market areas:

Federal Programs and Services
The primary activity of CCME’s Federal Programs and Services is the Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) contract with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). As the QIO for both North and South Carolina, CCME is responsible for assuring quality of care for nearly 2 million Medicare enrollees across the continuum of care.
