URAC
 The Carolinas Center for Medical Excellence (CCME) is committed to providing high quality, objective, and consistent review services. We have URAC accreditation in health utilization management (HUM). Meeting these standards provides additional assurance to patients, providers, purchasers, regulators, and customers that our utilization management review practices are fair, consistent, and equitable for all parties. URAC promotes health care quality through accreditation, certification, and commendation and is a leader in the accreditation of health and managed care organizations.
Quality Improvement Organization
CCME has been designated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) as the Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) for North and South Carolina. CCME has been providing services to the patients, physicians, hospitals, and other health care providers in North Carolina since 1984 and in South Carolina since 1988.
With input from the medical community, CCME develops cooperative quality improvement projects on clinical topics affecting seniors in the Carolinas. These projects measure how effectively health care providers utilize proven treatment paths and develop plans to improve care.

CCME is registered with Central Contractor Registration, in accordance with FAR 52.204-7. The database is found at www.ccr.gov.

CCME is a 501(c)(3) organization as designated by the IRS.

Accreditation Council on Continuing Medical Education (ACCME)
CCME is accredited by the North Carolina Medical Society to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
CCME’s ACCME-approved provider number is 4006622 and our current accredited with commendation term is valid through December 31, 2015.
American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation (ANCC)
CCME is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the North Carolina Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
Our current accreditation term is valid through January 5, 2015.
