Understanding the CMS Final Rule "Meaningful Use" Requirements

TARGET AUDIENCE:

Physicians, Care Givers, Office Managers, and Staff

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released the "meaningful use" of Electronic Health Records (EHRs) final rule on July 13, 2010. Taking longer than six months to complete, CMS considered more than 2,000 comments submitted by health care professionals before completing the final rule. As a result, the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NRPM) released December 30, 2009, has been changed significantly. Please join us as we present a live webinar on new "meaningful use" requirements from the CMS final rule.

Eligible professionals can receive as much $44,000 for each Medicare provider or up to $63,750 for each qualifying Medicaid provider through the Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive Programs by properly implementing and demonstrating “meaningful use” of an ONC-ATCB-certified EHR.

COURSE TOPICS:

This webinar will include information on:

  • Health Information Technology (HIT) core and menu requirements
  • Clinical Quality Measures (CQM) core and menu requirements
  • Measurement information for all measures
