CCME is a physician-sponsored, non-profit organization that has built its solid reputation on advancing the quality of health care for Medicare and Medicaid consumers in North and South Carolina. Our work centers around four major market areas:
Programs Management
We collaborate with federal, state, and local agencies to evaluate quality of care, utilization, and reimbursement practices to create innovative, cost-effective and efficient solutions and improve health care quality
-
Federal Programs and Services – CCME holds the Medicare Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) Contract with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). As the QIO for both North and South Carolina, we are responsible for assuring quality of care for people with Medicare.
